Swell Marketing Group celebrates four years this month. Time flies when you are doing what you love. We wanted to take a moment to look over our shoulder at our top four “local love” moments:
1. Surprising the Nicest Students in Sacramento
We helped zpizza develop the Nice zSlice program to recognize kindness in more than 200 schools nationwide. Our favorite moment during this program was surprising 30+ kids and parents at a Sacramento Elementary School with the Nice zSlice award, pizza party and Good Day Sacramento live broadcast of the whole experience.
2. Spotlighting Autism in the Workplace
What a privilege to help the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism launch its Flutie Spectrum Enterprises business to train and employ young adults on the spectrum. Getting 7News Boston to do a feature sharing the inspirational story of 21-year-old Justin Daigle—the first employee of Flutie Spectrum Enterprises — was such an impactful way to drive awareness around a big issue for families with adult children on the autism spectrum.
3. Celebrating Rhode Island’s School Spirit with Free Tacos
We got to do high school all over again, and loved every minute! Three Rhode Island high schools held student-organized spirit rallies to show the local Taco Bell owner how they Live Más. The events included band performances, dance routines, chanting students, scholarships, a visit from the Taco truck and ABC6. Let us tell you, the future looks bright!
4. Helping Leon
Leon Mckenzie, president of Sure Sports Lending, had a dream to create a scholarship program funded by his clients to provide support for students at the Lansdowne Friends School in Pennsylvania. We helped create the fund and provided a plan to help encourage donations. Leon’s passion inspired us from the beginning and clearly has done the same for his clients. The McKenzie Promising Futures Fund has tripled in just three short years. We love Leon!
